Sustainable initiative
In partnership with Mirante Tecnologia, Sicoob invested in a sustainable initiative to upgrade its Data Center for which a squad of Mirante infrastructure specialists supported in the definition, planning and execution of the upgrade of the Data Centers of the cooperative system. The main gains were considerable savings in electricity consumption, lower CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, in addition to the homogenization of environments.

Challenges
To support the constant launches of new technology products and services, Sicoob had to restructure its Data Centers and the main challenge was to offer a higher level of availability, processing and storage capacity to support the institution’s growth.

The diversity of technologies and the required technical level were challenging, but Mirante Tecnologia with its vast experience was able to meet all these needs. The main technologies were IBM Mainframe (Z/OS and Z/VM) in addition to VMware and Linux.
